Excel payroll question

I get paid $15/hr for a part time position, up to a maximum of $43/day.  How do I build a formula to show the total due me if I work 3 hours, and the maximum of $43 if I work 5 hours?  Hope you understand my question, and thanks!

This really isn't the proper forum for this type of question, but I'll take pity on you:

=IF( (A3*15) >43,43,(A3*15))

Where A3 is the cell with the number of hours.

Here's a hint - you shouldn't be doing more than 3 hours a day unless you enjoy getting screwed over

=MIN(A3*15, 43)

Kinda agree this is quite the lame question for a community of programmers, but occasionally it's fun to slam the hanging curveball into the seats.

Of course, now that I've expressed such hubris, I've guaranteed that the next post will be a listing of bugs.

Really really really stop working after 2 hours and 52 minutes :-)
Who came up with this idea - I'm guessing your employer, or should that be slave master ?

Yes, it does look like homework, doesn't it?

I'm surprised no one came up with the obvious answer....

=CHOOSE(A1, 15, 30, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43, 43)

:)

@OP

If you cannot solve this yourself, you're not worth the money they're paying you.
