Crystal Reports

I, for one, do not understand why the field of report generators had become dominated by Crystal Reports. So many of the dear departed products were better.

The immediate cause of this rant is that I have three parameters which are all decimal. I have them on the report in three fields of the same size, same justification, etc. But they don't align, even after several tries. Yeech.

Everyone I personally know who has ever worked w/Crystal says the same thing to me: "Crystal Reports sucks ... but it's the best there is."

Hee's a gotcha ... how do you pass the report title without going through the database or PC name or user name, etc. ?

Make the report title a formula. Then, set the value of the formula = "formula = ""My Report Title""".
