What could googles 500k servers do if misused

Just think, google is estimated to have around 500k servers. 500k computers working together to support the increasingly demand we "the public" need on a day to day basis to find our hearts desire. From education, to just looking for movie listings. What if all that computer computation power was misused for one single use, something unphathomable? what would it be, maybe some sort of Artificial intelligence software. I would like create a discussion to explore the awareness of this topic. give me your ideas, you thoughts.

they could do massive DoS attack to paralyze the Internet. but why talk about google. just about any trusted software group (mozilla, apache, microsoft) could infiltrate millions of computers with bad code and misuse them.

they could shut them down.  Imagine a world without google.  My homepage is google search, my email is gmail, and I use google maps almost every day.  All of this could be replaced but the adjustment would be frusterating and could cause people significant loss (in regards to losing their email accounts).  Also think of all of the real estate sites powered by google maps.  I wonder to what extent we are dependent on them, if only in a temporary sense.
