It's good to see a product designed around its market/usage and not massively over-engineered for no real reason.

It was interesting how the actual architecture turned out in response to the actual problem. Personally, I wouldn't have written my own smptp server component, but that shows how the architecture isn't independent of the people. It depends a lot on what you are willing to do.
