I have a business application that needs a reporting engine. Currently we are using Data Dynamics’ Active Reports, which is ok, but I would like to include a QBE query designer for our users, like the one in Access.
The application itself is written in VB6.

If you want one that's very similar to Access, try this out:
I would not labor over this decision too long. I have provided the ability in several of my applications to use Crystal Reports. From my experience, customers are very interested in this feature at the time of sale and then almost never use it after they purchase the product. They all come back to me for hard-coded reports.
With all that said, I might give Active Query Builder a spin since I develop in Delphi a lot.
