Joel, if you read this message, would you like to describe why FogBUGZ's list view is the way it is? (For those who haven't seen it, instead of a table, the bug list shows each bug with a few lines of information followed by some white spa.ce
It seems to me that web apps typically use a table , from which a user selects one item to view in detail. What factors affected your approach?
And to all: do you see value in this approach? Limitations?
We have both views, list and grid.
List view works well on narrower displays or with longer bug titles. That's really the only thing I can think of. Now that wide monitors are much more common we might start defaulting to grid.

The list view is nice for priniing off and taking to meetings.
