The Design of Software (CLOSED)

A public forum for discussing the design of software, from the user interface to the code architecture. Now closed.

The "Design of Software" discussion group has been merged with the main Joel on Software discussion group.

The archives will remain online indefinitely.

What other software forums are out there?

Anyone know of the most active online communities for abstract discussions about software?
Not a place where people post about "How do I do this?" etc., but generic software architecture, language design, and systems architecture in general.
Thanks,

The wiki at C2.com comes to mind, but I'm not sure what it's like these days.  Topics tend to ebb and flow in popularity there, and I don't know if the areas you mention are 'hot' there at the moment.  Having said that old pages do tend to hang round for ever if they're good, and there will be some old pages on the topics you mention.

http://www.artima.com is good.  Not so much a forum, but http://programming.reddit.com usually has good links and some discussion.
