Easy to use presentation software

what kind of software would you use to explain something like refactoring concepts to a audience, I have to show legacy code all along and highlight the parts which change
and then show the changes in the next file, I normally show a bunch of doc files showing the gradual refactoring, Can't help thinking there has to be a better way to present this, powerpoint perhaps?

"powerpoint perhaps?"

Put the project in source code control and then save and commit files after each refactoring step.  Then you can just go through the log and show them the diffs for each commit.
