N-Tier database design, Book recommendation

I will be converting an existing Borland C++ builder wholesale distribution program to Delphi.  Anyone know of a good book about N-tier database design.  I will be using RemObjects Data Abstract for the multi-tier layer.

I know Alessandro Federici of RemObjects used to recommend a Wrox title, _Professional Windows DNA_.  That's more specifically about using MS technologies (SOAP, COM+) but basic ideas are similar when using something like RO/DA.

Martin Fowler's _Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture_ is really good.

You might want to post similar message on the DataAbstract newsgroups.
