Need some help on abbreviations

So far I know that in the US the abbreviation Q is used for quarter (ex: Q1, Q2, ...)

Can anyone help me out in finding the abbreviations for semester and trimester?

Thanks!

Q1, Q2 are usually used in reference to the financial markets where companies release quarterly earning statements... and there's not a concept of semesters.

Semester and trimester are normally used in education... the fact that they also have quarters is unrelated.

Semesters are not really shortened. Fall 07 or Spring 06 are the shortest commonly understood forms, maybe F'07 and S'06 are used at some places, but there's not any common agreement about them.

Many schools also identify their semesters, trimesters, quarters, by names like Fall Quarter.

Michaelmas, Lent and Easter are the terms (trimesters) at Cambridge.
