I'm building my web-based Project Management application in OpenLaszlo, which compiles into .swf files that run in the Flash Player. OpenLaszlo is the open source equivalent of Macromedia's Flex.

It's really cool to be developing a "rich" user experience without having to worry about cross-browser JavaScript/HTML/CSS stuff. OpenLaszlo isn't perfect, but I'll (obviously) take it over JavaScript/HTML/CSS.

I'm blogging about it. Check out my name for the link.

You can do that stuff completely serverside, using plain old asp.
It's no hassle at all.
This is an example that is uncommonly easy to work with.

You can even create and run live animations using this.
