Creating a .msg file (Outlook) in VB6

Has anyone seen a library or code snippet that can create (not export) a .msg file to be read by Outlook.  I have seen quite a few examples of using MAPI and the Outlook Component, but I cannot use that as I want to have the individual components of the email (name, email, subject, date, body, etc) and create a .msg file.

Short of finding the file format for a .msg file and making a routine around that, has anyone seen code for this?

Thanks everyone

MailItem has a SaveAs method. The Outlook help says it can write MSG files. Try that.

.msg is Microsoft format that is proprietary to Outlook and Exchange.  EML files are standard SMTP message format and can be created with CDOSYS or by hand as they are text format.
