Any experience with paid signup

Did anybody have experience with sites like this: http://realtimesignups.com/mlm/guaranteed-paid-signups-vs-paid-to-sign-up-signups/. Do they work?

This seems really murky.  I can't see anyway you can guarantee that the paid sign ups you are paying for will actually be customers.

I get the impression that is designed to scam people new to the crazy world of MLM into paying for traffic so they can build a mailing list of  imaginary customers. As none of these addresses are going to real people, the autoresponder spam they send will have very little effect. But it does allow them to carry on chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for longer, with the belief that they have a valuable list, which means they will buy more from the marketing "Guru's" higher up the MLM pyramid.  Avoid at all costs. It's the road to insanity.

Probably worth reading this if you're not familiar with MLM. It's very old but sadly nothing has changed in the MLM world: http://www.vandruff.com/mlm.html
