New tiny free web utility

I took a little time to work on a small project that I think may be useful. There are already similar utilities, but I think I did better.

Can you give me a feedback?  What's the best way to do know?

>What's the best way to do know?

Do you mean:

"What's the best thing to do now?"

If so, that rather depends on what you plan to achieve.

The site is very cheap: I use amazon s3, html and javascript.

I thought to monetize with advertising and see if it is a service that can evolve.

Pasted a 725 KB (743,124 chars) text block into it.

Site almost choked and died.  Firefox asked me if I wanted to stop the script 3 times.

Results eventually came: 711,064 chars.

Can't say I'm too impressed with the speed an inaccurate results.

the utility is good for not large text like an article or a single chapter of a book, not for a whole book.

Might be a good idea to catch the file size and gracefully terminate rather than have it glitch.  Other than that I thought it was pretty decent. I've used site like this in the past when writing meta tags on mass for eCommerce sites when the back end software doesn't count the characters. The keyword density counter is a nice touch.

sorry, I know. It work with Latin-1 basic + Latin-1 extended characters but it's a limitation that will solve.

AdSence brings ~$1-3 per every 1000 visits.
The problem is trivial and is solved by MS Word and Google Text editors. I don't think you will have tons of visitors to earn noticible amount of money there.
The only way to have free visitors is to be TOP1 position in Google at "calculate text size" (or similar) keyword, so do SEO of you know how to do this.
