Selling software on Amazon.com

Did you try to sell your software products on Amazon.com ?

Do people search downloadable software on Amazon?

I see that my several competitors sell their products on Amazon. However my primary competitor from USA doesn't sell his products on Amazon.

I sell PerfectTablePlan through a reseller on Amazon. It doesn't make big sales, but it is a worthwhile extra channel.

Almost certainly not worth setting it up yourself, unless you are Big Co.

Many thanks for your response and this information!

But Andy, could it simply be not worthwhile for you because people don't immediately think to search Amazon for table planning software?  Other software niches might certainly benefit.

Possibly. But I get the impression that setting up your own Amazon shop is quite a hassle. So probably only worth it if you anticipate a reasonable number of sales.

I sell a product in Amazon's Downloadable/Digital section. It brings in only a few sales per month, but can be worth it as another sales channel. Also it's more of a trusted place for user reviews.
