Submitting to 500,000 sites and search engines, worth it?

I got a spam today offering submission to 500,000 search sites and engines and directories...
Firts thing i though was what 500,00 sites? Is there 500,000 search sites?

But than I thought what if it does work?
Hm...what do you think, here is the link:

Looks spammy to me, but what if?

Totally spammy. Worse, Google thinks so too, meaning you'd do yourself more harm than good.

And that's presuming they'd submit anything to anywhere, rather than just taking your money.

Definitely don't do it.  More than likely it will be a net negative in search engine eyes.... you don't want links from a bunch of sites that you don't know (and probably are super-spammy).  Very bad for SEO.  Google has gotten much smarter in recognizing spammy links and penalizing accordingly...

If you put your URL in you will get an email tomorrow saying

Okay so basically this is where you submit your competition's website? :)

+1 to Zka for good thinking ;-)

Apart from a few specific niches, there is only one search engine that matters and doing anything that screws that up is likely to yield a sub-optimal result.

I'm just joking of course, I like fair competition and would not do such thing unless forced.
