PDF Forms

Hi There

Forgive me for this naive question, however its been a long while since I worked for a large organization. Can anyone tell me how prolific PDF forms  are in government, health care, commercial sectors? To what extent are they being used? What are they being used for? Lastly, how big is the market for PDF forms?

It's the common way to share forms and reports inside companies. Generally ERP systems generate them automatically or some server software do the transformations on the back end and delivers the result to the end user.

They're basically used instead of printing.
