Many sites are building community around their product in facebook.
May be better build community for SOHO product in  linkedin?
Or twitter? Or facebook is more suitable?
Interested in practical experience. Thank you.

Are you sure it is a good idea to send customers to FB or LinkedIn, which you don't control and which are full of distractions? Perhaps consider a forum on your own site?

@Andy Brice

No, therefore I ask this question ;)
Your proposal is own forum. Right?

I haven't really tried to build a community for my product (yet), I put very little effort into social media and every product/market is different anyway. So I can't give you a straight answer. My gut feeling is that I don't want to be sending my hard earned customers off to places I don't control with lots of distractions, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.
