Similar location on th web for contract developers?

Hi everyone.  I know this site is for micro-isv types and my goal is to become one one day but in the meantime I find myself working on software projects for small businesses to pay  the bills.

My question is does anyone here know of a site, like this one, that caters to contract developers?

I'm a contractor too. I'm not aware of any forums specifically dedicated to contractors/consultants.

I even own a domain itcontractors.ca where a few years ago I wanted to host a forum for Canadian contractors, but never found time to. The time expenses on moderation spooked me.

May be I should just install Discourse [ http://www.discourse.org/ ], send a word out and see if it swims?

The forum is about Business of software and I imagine contracting / employment is still a part of business. Otherwise why not just call it the business of shareware/ trial-ware or whatever the hip name of the month is supposed to be.

So are you saying it is OK to ask contract developer type questions here in this forum?  If so, the one question I have been wanting to ask for a long time, is how does one get clients to do development work for?

Don't expect to get many specific answers. This forum is predominantly product-oriented (and this is a good thing).

Still, you may read my rants in one of the previous threads:
