PAD files and SEO

I have noticed that when a PAD file is first uploaded to download sites for some time it does you good,  in a number of ways:
-Your program is often on the 'new software' pages of download sites and so gets more visibility
-Even Google recognize a few links from those sites in following weeks or months maybe
-Accordingly you do get an increase in downloads

Now I'm thinking of how to prolong this beneficial period:

-Is there a way to SEO your pad files
-Way to put links in them
-Way to mark certain parts of it with <H1> and such
-Does rewording them make download sites pick them up again and treat them as new

Any experiences in this matter of proceedings ?

There's no way to apply H1, H2 etc to PAD files as they are not HTML documents and us a XML format.

However, there are ways to use the PAD format more effectively for SEO. One method is to dynamically generate a separate PAD file for each download site:
