Which payment processor?

I'm totally new to the idea of starting an mISV and I'm looking for suggestions as to what payment processor is good.  I'm based in the US but my application is going to be a subscription-based web service.  It won't be that expensive, but it depends on the service level; estimated cost is about $20/month for the basic package, to maybe $100/month for the "platinum" version.  I'm going to need recurring billing, but I guess this is something I have to implement myself, or does the processor take care of it?

Should I use a "real" processor like Authorize.net, or could I get by with using something like Google Checkout?  I still want to project a professional image to customers.

Anyone have any advice?

D'oh!  I didn't even see there was an FAQ!

Thanks!

Since you're a subscription based service keep your billing model to monthly or quarterly. You'll have a very difficult time getting a internet merchant account approved for annual billing if you're a new business.I recommend AuthorizeNet as a online payment gateway.
