Patch This

How exactly do you do patches? Is it just a replacement of a dll file? I have my obfuscator combine my dll’s into one exe file. Does this mean my patches are essentially a total download of the product?

We send out a CD with the new installation on it, if it affects all customers. Some customers choose to install, and some don't but prefer to have it on the shelf anyway. If the update only affects one customer, we send it by email unless they also want a CD.

I choose to do total downloads/installs for all patches.  This is because I once worked in a place where DLLs were patched individually, but not systematically enough.  Virtually every customer out there had a different setup, which is a nightmare to try and support.
