Hello all! I'm so happy! We sold an obscene number of copies of StyleSpread on Bits Du Jour Today! I'm going for a better record. Right now we're 8th highest seller of all time. I need only: 2 more for #7 5 more for #6 13 more for #5 The program is for sale for $19.97! And there are still a few hours left. I'm accepting the sale price until 7:00 AM tomorrow morning. If you were thinking about a copy, the time is now. (The promo code is bitsdujour.)
Yay! We're #6! We now only need 7 more for #5 (My obsessive-compulsive nature is getting WAY too excited over this...)
Paul, Thanks for a great deal on a great piece of software. You guys really thought this out and came up with a good way to edit css files.

Just bought your product - very impressed. So we'd all like to know - how many copies is "an abscene number"? Even a ballpark would be good.

Hi Paul, I hadn't heard about your product before, but I bought a copy as soon as I saw it on Bits du Jour. Great idea about offering lifetime updates for an additional fee (I 'fell' for it :-) while running the promotion). So, how many copies did you sell?
I was really, reeeeally close to buying it, too. Sorry, but I didn't, but it looks like a great product. Really nice site too. Just if you're interested, I held off (even though it was very cheap) because I use Visual Studio and am wary of buying another tool to use outside of VS - just because I like my focus to remain on one app for development. The CSS design is much improved in VS2008, but have you thought of maybe integrating your product into Visual Studio? ps. how many did you sell? ;)

Paul, I don't know if this is by design but none of the flash movies start playing. They download and then I need to click play before anything happens. They should ideally play as they are downloading, or at least play at the end of the download. Where do you find out the top purchased BDJ apps? Oh and congrats. PS. Using IE7.
> I use Visual Studio and am wary of buying another tool to use outside of VS - just because I like my focus to remain on one app for development. I use Visual Studio too. When you use <div> layouts, CSS isn't really *development*, it's *design*. So naturally you are going to want a different program. No one complains that Photoshop isn't integrated into VS/Dreamweaver. I see this as a similar situation > Where do you find out the top purchased BDJ apps? I asked Nico :) The number of copies we sold was...
Paul, Your product looks quite nice. I was wondering what component did you use for the property sheet? Is it something standard?

> Your product looks quite nice. I was wondering what component did you use for the property sheet? Is it something standard? We wrote it. We wrote everything. We made everything. We're NIH :) We used to sell components as our main business for years (http://components.skybound.ca), so we have a ton of experience with Windows GUI.
First of all, Firebug and the IE dev toolbar only do one thing that StyleSpread does—diagnostics. StyleSpread does a lot of other things. But with that aside, Firebug doesn't let you make changes to your file. It's pretty much view-only.
Wow. Nice product. When you first mentioned your product on this board, I thought it was nice, but out of my budget. I thought that with FireFox plugins and Eclipse plugins, I could make due for now. Since then I have banged my head on more CSS issues that I would like to admit. I saw this post and thought how could you go wrong at this price. So I bought a copy. The editor is really nice and easy to use. Great tutorial to walk you through the features. If I would have purchased when you first posted here, I would have saved enough time to easily make the purchase worth its while. Great job and I'll be recommending it to coworkers and friends. | |
